Third day of workshops with @rtados RECONTRE THÉÂTRE ADOS today!!! This has been such a wonderful experience already! Mixing theatre and illustration to inspire teenagers recently arrived to QC to learn French and to inspire them to make their dreams come true! The story of #fridakahlo has always been an inmense inspiration for me and for the last two years I been giving workshops with my books to children from 4-10 years old, working with teenagers is a new experience for me and one I was not sure about! These las three days have made me change my mind! Teenagers are so much fun to work with!!! They are between 12-17 yo. To see them play improvisations of my illustrations and to work with them directly after has been super inspiring! Each kid has to draw the end of their scene and even though most of them do not draw (and most of them think they are not good) they all have been drawing with me! MERCI BEAUCOUP pour votre generosite!!!! GRACIAS!!!! 3 more days are coming!!!! I am a very #happyseñorita this week!!! 🙋🏻‍♀️😃MERCI Frederick Moreau for this opportunity!!!! So so happy to work with you! ••• #caracarmina #illustration #workshops #improvisationtheatrale #rencontretheatreado #livrejeunesse #frida #atelierimprovisation #theatre #illustration

It all started about a year ago... I wanted to find the right story and the right bunny. . . I happened to be visiting my favourite girl in the whole world at the time in Mexico, Amelia, my niece 4 years old. When I go visit her I have limited time with her and her mom *my sister* because they go to school and to work pretty early and come back home in the evening during the week days. So every morning at 6am I woke up to wake Amelia up. . . Amelia doesn't like to wake up early (you all know neither do I) so at 6am I would crawl into her little bed and try to talk to her into waking up... This is how the story of Pauline started, I would improvise a little story about "LA CONEJA PAULINA" (Paulina the bunny) to her, and she would be so curious about what was coming next in the story that she would little by little start waking up and to ask me what was happening in the story next... each morning we would both continue the story together, improvising and making it ours, she even started naming one of her bunny toys Paulina... I knew then I had found THE RIGHT BUNNY, the one Amelia liked!!! . . So... a year later after lots of work "LA LAPINE PAULINE" has become a book series! And the first one of them is coming this February 8th! Thanks to @les_editions_les_malins who believed in me and my bunny! 🐰❣️ . . You are ALL invited to the launching! at @librairiepaulines (how cool is that?) 😉 Bring your kids!!! There will be a lecture, and they will be able to colour my favourite lapine with me! 🙋🏻‍♀️💚 . .
